It was established in June 1974 with an objective to commercially exploit the indigenous technologies developed by National Laboratories and R&D Institutions in the country. CEL has contributed a lot for the country’s defense, photovoltaic power generation and Safety & Signaling equipments in Indian Railways. Central Electronics Limited (CEL) manufacturing unit is located in Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh.
