About GATE 2015
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all –India Entrance Examination jointly conducted by the six Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. The objective of conducting GATE is to check the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science. The GATE score of a candidate reflects is used for admissions to various post-graduate programs in reputed institutions in Indian with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies. The score may also be used by Public sector units for employment screening purposes.
